A little bit more makeup

Heeeeey!

Having just used 'Lush BB Seaweed Face Mask' £6.25, 'Clinique Moisture Surge' £32 and 'Kiehl Creamy Eye Treatment' £20, this morning I chose to use a foundation for a more 'made up' look as I was going out 'YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation' 30ml £36

The coverage with this foundation is really great as it hides spots, blemishes and gives an even skin tone. It gives a lovely healthy glow to the skin and the slight shine reflects the light, which is nice to have in summer.

For lips I always use, 'Vaseline Cocoa Butter' £2.18 to keep them moisturised. Today I wanted a natural look on my lips as I am wearing more eye makeup than usual so I have gone with my favourite lip stick, 'Chanel Rouge Coco Shine- Boy' £25. It goes on so smoothly, feels hydrating and adds a shine whilst staying natural.

I used, 'Soap and Glory- Solar Powder' Bronzer £11 to sweep over the top of my forehead, by my temples and a little touch under my cheek bones to add definition.

'L'oreal Nude Magique BB Universal Rosy Blush' This is the blush I used for todays look. It is totally different to anything else out there as it comes in a tube! It is basically a clear gel when first applied which turns into a lovely pink shade. I find it best to apply this a small amount at a time, first to my finger, then patting gently along my cheek bones.

I added on 'Soap and Glory mascara' and 'Soap and Glory eyeliner pen' which you can read more about and see pictures of in my first post, so please go take a look!

Hope you all like the end result, tweet me @Lulatink to let me know what you would like to see next.

Skin Care Routine for Sensitive skin: using Lush BB Seaweed mask/ Clinique/ Kiehls eye cream

 Hello!
I took these pictures this morning before we rushed out the house to see family. It was quite cloudy so I had to snap these when the sun came out to get some bright sunny pictures for you guys! I'm loving taking pictures on my new camera- 'Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1' - It makes it even more exciting to make this blog come to life. Anyway, lets get on with it!

Face mask time! So ignoring the fact that nobody looks great wearing a face mask... here I am posting a picture of myself with the 'Lush BB Seaweed Face Mask' £6.25. This morning my skin felt and looked a bit bleugh so to cheer it up I stuck this gloopy mask on. It smelt delicious, like a lot of Lush products. It felt cooling on my skin and when washed off with a warm face cloth, it gave a lovely fresh glowy look.

Here it is in the pot after using it twice and as you can see there is quite a lot left in there. Sooo refreshing to start your day with this on for 15 mins once a week.

Then the next product I use every day, morning and night is an eye cream. It's the 'Kiehl Creamy Eye Treatment' £20. This little miracle pot is great if you have sensitive/ dry skin or dark circles like myself. I have been looking for something like this for ages but could not for the life of me find anything that was suitable for my sensitive skin on the high street. The pot is tiny with only 14ml in it however I found you only use a small amount each time so it is well worth the money. I've had this pot for a month now so it will last ages! Ow and its got avocado it, great stuff.

I have never tried any of the Clinique products before using this moisturiser, 'Clinique Moisture Surge' £32. Mostly due to the high price tag but as soon as spring came my skin was getting dry with being outside more so I needed that extra moisture. I was pleasantly surprised at this product, it is soo different to any other moisturisers I have used. It's a light gel formulation and when put on it sinks into the skin and melts away leaving you with a refreshed face, without that greasy feeling many others give you.

Thanks so much for reading, next post will be about the make up I had on today.

Essie Nail Varnish

Evening all, I tried to paint my nails today and took pictures of it! enjoy!

So to start of with I used the 'Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover' 30ml £2.79 (pictured top left)
This little pot is just magic! It takes seconds to remove even bright nail varnish with a quick dipping of your finger into the sponge, which is inside the pot. It says it even contains conditioning formula with vitamin E. This speeds up the whole process of painting my nails. Love it!

After getting rid of my chipped nail varnish I gave my hands a wash to get rid of any extra remover. I then used 'Sally Hansen Healthy Cuticles Now' £7.40 which is a moisturiser for your nails. It is quite expensive for the amount of product in the pot however I feel as a once a week routine it really benefits my nails. I'm trying to make them longer! I left this on for a couple of hours (whilst cleaning rabbits and guinea pigs out!) then gave my hands a good scrub.

I always wear a clear nail varnish as my nails really need that extra strength so I recently picked up 'Sally Hansen Maximum Growth daily nail treatment' £4.89, which can be used as a base coat too.

The 'Essie Go Ginza' £7.99 nail varnish is beautiful shade for spring/summer and goes with a lot of clothes too as it's just a hint lilac. Pictured above is what the shade looks like after two coats. I felt it needed two as even though the formula is thick, it needs to be applied in thin layers for it to dry properly.

Thanks for reading and hope you will be back soon!

A bit of everyday make up

Hi ! That's me ^
I must admit I took this photo some time ago, but I thought I'd use it as it shows my everyday make up. I usually stick to using the same products, as in the mornings I literally have 5-10 mins to 'put my face on' before it's heading off to nursery time. So I want to use products that I know will do the job!

So what have I got on?

Well to start with I use L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint, 110 Warm ivory foundation £9.99.
I use this mostly as it's so amazing at covering dark circles under my eyes, it goes on so smoothly and with a quick pat pat it blends in perfectly. Even though it's water based and fairly light weight coverage, I use it sparingly over the rest of my face using the Real Techniques expert face brush £9.99. I'm coming to the end of the 20 ml bottle now but it's lasted for ages. It's also SPF 18 which is great for over the summer.

If I have any spots or blemishes I want to cover, then I use the ever so popular Collection concealer in shade fair £4.19. Using a tiny dot I blend it out with my finger. This is amazing for spots, just can't find anything better than this.

So my base is done and at this point I usually think 'oo I better hurry up'. On to my eyes!

Eyeliner is a funny thing, I do love it when it's on but it annoys me sometimes as it can smudge and I have to start again! However I recently found a product which works just like a felt tip pen. Yes it's
Soap and Glorys 'Supercat liquid black eyeliner pen' £6.00. I found it easy to use and it dries quickly so no waiting around.

Mascara comes next and I have stuck to the same one for ages now. I have even bought another for when this one runs out! It's another Soap and Glory product. 'Thick and Fast Super Volume Mascara' in super jet black. I find it does exactly what it promises and at £10 it is very affordable. Soap and Glory products are often on 3 for 2 in Boots, which is great if you like the range. I think I got the mascara, eyeliner and blush last time.

Talking about blush...

Blush seems to last me ages and once I find one I love I just tend to stick with it until it's all gone. I use 'Elf Blush', in shy £2.50 with just a Dirty works blush brush (bought from boots some time ago) and sweep over my cheek bones and slightly along. Simple but such a lovely classic pinky colour.

Lips!
Mostly with lips I just use Vaseline if I'm not going anywhere in particular because it just lasts
for ages and I don't need to keep topping it up. I do love a splash off colour on my lips though so here I have used 'Model co Kitty'£12. It matches my blush beautifully in that it is a subtle pink but has a slight shimmer to it. It is really moisturising so it doesn't feel like it will dry my lips out.

Last but not forgotton, Eyebrows! I'm not really into eyebrow specific products and use matte eyeshadow instead. The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette £37 has a lovely brown shade called 'tease' which I use with the eyeshadow brush that comes with it. My eyebrows can be quite light over summer so it's perfect for filling them in a bit. I have just noticed in this picture I have used the Pistol shade just on the outside of my lids too!

Well that's it guys, I really do hope you like my make up and go check out some of what I have used as it is all so lovey but great for that everyday morning rush. Thank you so much for reading and watch this space for further posts.
